But please don't be one of those people with a Stockholm Syndrome viewpoint. Please don't get me wrong, I love Diabolik Lovers, I like them as a character (I'm a sucker for Kanato and Carla respectively). If you watched/saw his route in the first game, it's shown many times that he talks about wanting to ravish women, foribly strip/make Yui strip (he's destroyed her clothers a lot of times) and let alone THE CHURCH SCENE in the anime. I know not everybody can afford to play the game (take me for example orz) but!! there's a lot translations or playthroughs so you can always catch up and they're free! Abuse is abuse and nobody I repeat nobiody deserves to be abused.
Yes, the boys are messed up in their own way mainly because of their abusive and irresponsible parents' doing but that doesn't excuse the abuse they did to the MC. Look, I too, like many problematic characters but regardless of how much I like them I WILL never go as far to excuse whatever they did. Because it was in every definition of the word. Just I beg of you, please, don't disrespect people who have actually been through something similar by saying what Yui/MC went through wasn't rape. You should accept their bad parts as well. You're just ignoring the parts you see as bad (or in this case, straight up ignoring blatant proof) so you can continue loving them without any guilt. But just because you love them, doesn't mean all the crap they do disappears into thin air. You're absolutely allowed to love DEEPLY problematic (fake! Please don't get yourself into dangerous situations IRL) characters. It's made up, all fake, no one really gets hurt. Now - this is pretty much a ravishment fantasy game.
She pleads with him to let her go - BUT HE DOESN'T. After he drinks some of her blood, he undresses and basically tells her he's aroused so he'll make her feel better. He then takes her into his bedroom and bites her in an extremely painful place, causing her to scream out. He takes her to his bathroom and commands her to strip - even though she really doesn't want to. But he smells "her." They both argue some about "her" (note: Cordelia, duh) which gets Laito all riled up, which he of course then takes out on Yui/MC. It's implied that Laito used an invisibility spell or something on Yui/MC at this point because Richter doesn't notice her at all. Richter comes to the mansion and then enters the kitchen where Yui/MC and Laito are. Also, just because his mother was messed up, which in turn made him messed up, don't make his actions no less HIS OWN ACTIONS. The first time they have sex it isn't consensual at all. Lmao, how is this even a discussion? The person a few comments up must not have actually played the game if they think Laito isn't a rapist, because he is.
